Aquatic exercise is effective for anyone wanting to build lean muscle mass, increase strength, or heal from injury. It is also the ideal exercise medium for abled and disabled participants by helping them maintain their good health at a comfortable, functional level.
Each accessible water aerobics class includes a warm-up, cardio and strength-training exercises, and a cooldown. You won’t be swimming, and most water workouts are done in the shallow end of the pool.
Starts the first week of February and runs through the end of August. All SGU members that want to participate must be able to swim. The AquaFins meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11am weekly. Please contact coach Jacqui to register.
