Equipment: Review NENSA’s Rollerski Safety Policies.
NENSA Will Provide: Classic and Skate Rollerskis brought to us by Swenor.
You Must Provide: HELMET, Boots, Poles, Running Shoes, Hi-Vis Top.
What do I need to do prior to USSS L100 Assessment?
Refer to our detailed guide here.
1. Renew USSS Coach Membership and complete the steps to be active (SafeSport and Safety Requirements).
2. Join USSS Sport Education Academy at Gold Tier level.
3. Enroll and Complete Coaching Fundamentals and L100 Curriculum online.
4. Register on the Sport Ed. Academy for “2025-26 XC L100 – Stratton, VT – EAST In-person Assessment.” Registration deadline is Wednesday July 30th, 2025. If you miss the deadline, please email Alex Jospe, [email protected].
5. Watch your email inbox for specific day-of instructions from Alex Jospe.
6. Coach! Certify! SKI!
Coaches must complete the online portion of the L100 curriculum before registering for the on-ski assessment. Registration for the on-ski assessment is through the Sport Education Academy. Please note that the cost of this assessment is $50.

he Regional Elite Group (REG) Program is a US Ski and Snowboard (USSS) and National Nordic Foundation (NNF) sponsored program which introduces promising skiers to a regional network of peer skiers and coaches via a structured training environment modeled after US Ski Team Training Camps. Eastern REG organized and administered by NENSA for the USSS Eastern Region, including Mid-Atlantic and New England skiers.
Members of the REG are invited to REG Camp during summer each year. REG Camp serves 3 overlapping purposes. 1) Provide a fun, structured training block for peer athletes from across the East, 2) Facilitate regional collaboration between skiers and coaches on training and technique, and 3) Serve as a qualifying opportunity for the National Training Group (NTG) Camp held by USSS in Utah every October.
2025 REG will be held at Stratton Mountain School, taking advantage of the prime training grounds available in Southern Vermont.

The 2025 SMS Nordic Junior Camp will be held at the SMS Campus.
The Junior Camp (9th-12th grade, 14-18 yrs)
The SMS Nordic Program has combined sports science, a variety of proven training methods, a culture of athlete-driven excellence, and of course, fun to boast one of the most successful Nordic programs in the world. The program’s unprecedented national and international success has produced 16 Olympians in the past seven Winter Olympics. Over 35 SMS Nordic athletes have made the U.S. World Junior Team, and 25 have made the U.S. National Team. Each Summer, SMS Nordic hosts two summer camps for young skiers filled on a first-come, first-served basis

SaturdayNov 9 2024NENSA Youth Community Day– (EST)
Location:WebsiteCalling all 5th – 9th graders (U12 through U16 are welcome)! Come join NENSA, Stratton Mountain School, Stratton T2 Elite Team Coaches, and West River Nordic BKL Coaches for a fun, informative day of instruction, training, and preparing for snow!
Please keep in mind that parent support/transport will be required to/from the resort and the school at various times throughout the day (12:00 and 2:30), see details below:10:30 AM: Meet at Stratton Resort’s Sun Bowl Base Lodge for a hike up Stratton Mountain.
Parents and younger siblings are encouraged to join!
12:00 PM: Parents drive athletes to Stratton Mountain School for OYO lunch and free play on the soccer field.
Please feel free to bring a bagged lunch to enjoy on the SMS campus, or go with your parents to buy lunch from Stratton Resort Village, Winhall Market, or Rawsonville Market.
1:00 PM: NENSA youth programming and development presentations at Stratton Mountain School
Learn about the opportunities available to you after BKL!
1:45 PM: Athletic skills and aerial awareness at Stratton Mountain School
Will include: agility, balance, core strength, dryland technique, trampolines, and foam pit!
2:30 PM: Parents drive athletes to Sun Bowl Base Lodge for a NENSA agility course on skate rollerskis
Stratton Mountain School and NENSA will have junior and full size roller skis available for use.
3:30 PM: End of day – athlete pick-up at Sun Bowl Base Lodge
