    BlazeSports is excited to kick off our 2024-2025 Wheelchair Basketball season. The BlazeSports Wheelchair Basketball program offers both competitive and recreational experiences for athletes 6 – 18 years old who have a physical disability. Our program is sanctioned under the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Junior Division and has teams in both Prep (5-13 y/o) and Varsity (14-18 y/o) divisions.
    Practice
    Practice Time: Saturdays 8:30am – 11:00am –  Varsity, 11:30am – 1:30pm – Prep
    Location: St James United Methodist Church
    4400 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30342
    Competition: In a typical season, the BlazeSports Jr. Hawks travels within and outside of the South Eastern Conference (SEC). The tournaments range from 4-6 a season depending on the team. 
    Athlete eligibility: Ages 6 – 18* up to 22 if enrolled in high school. Primary diagnosis characterized as a physical disability that impacts their lower body motor output/control. These diagnosis include but not limited to: Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Amputation, Limb Difference, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc.
    Athletes of all skill levels are welcome.
    Equipment: The BlazeSports Equipment Loan Program is available for all Youth Members. If your athlete needs a sportschair, BlazeSports staff & coaches will fit your athlete to the most suitable chair we have available. The loan program has no initial cost to the youth member although credit card information is required.

It is Georgia’s only all-female wheelchair basketball program, providing competitive and recreational opportunities for female athletes aged 10 to 99 with physical disabilities. The team is proudly sanctioned under the Women’s Division of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA), offering a supportive and empowering environment for women to excel in adaptive sports.
    Practice
