What We Do
At Deep and Beyond, we offer free adaptive snorkel days to empower individuals with disabilities to experience the freedom and joy of the ocean. Our mission is to create inclusive snorkeling experiences that promote physical and mental well-being, foster adventure, and build a strong community. With the support of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, we ensure safe water exploration for all abilities. Our Story
Deep and Beyond was founded in 2009 by Annamari Dietrichson. Since 2016, Paul and Doreen Chinen have taken the helm, continuing to expand our ohana and providing adventure opportunities to hundreds of people with disabilities across the Big Island of Hawaii. Their leadership has been instrumental in growing our programs and fostering a strong, inclusive community dedicated to exploring the beauty and freedom of the ocean.
