About the Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico
"Our Mission is to enhance the lives of children and adults with disabilities through recreation".
Adaptive Sports in the Southwest are very popular because of its blue skies and warmer day temperatures. Yet it is the warm feel of the people involved in the Adaptive Sports Program that make outdoor recreation in the Southwest the absolute best!
Since 1985, the Adaptive Sports Program has been offering risk reduced and highly supportive Skiing and Riding lessons for adults and children (all ages) with a wide array of disabilities. Since 2012 we have been offering Adaptive Water Sports such as Rafting, Kayaking, SUP, Sailing, Water Skiing, Wake-Boarding, Fishing and our newest attraction, Wake Surfing! Along with our other sports, Adaptive Golf, Rock Climbing and Archery are also on our menu now too!
The ASP is very proud to also provide adaptive recreation services to the brave souls who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. It is made possible for the ASP to offer services to military veterans on a "complimentary basis" via generous grants from Ski Santa Fe, Wounded Warrior Project, Warfighter Sports Program, Adaptive Adventures and this along with many other Private Contributors.
