To offer increased access to athletic and recreational opportunities for persons with physical and/or cognitive disabilities that will create freedom, promote independence, support inclusion and help those individuals and their families discover their full social, mental and athletic potential
Our History
Mount Washington Valley Adaptive Sports was founded in 1997 by a small group of volunteers who were inspired by the awesome achievements of the participants of all ages with physical or developmental disabilities.
Today, with the help of our partner programs and hundreds of volunteers, we have provided thousands of adaptive sports lessons for people with disabilities who, along with their families and friends have experienced the joy of inclusion in mainstream recreational activities.
Get Involved
Join us for a life-enriching experience as an MWVAS volunteer.
Whether you are an expert skier/rider, would prefer to stay indoors and help in the program room, or fall somewhere in-between, we’d love to have you join the MWVAS family.
MWVAS volunteers can earn free lift tickets, season passes and various discounts at participating restaurants and retail. But the deepest rewards of volunteering with MWVAS will stay with you for a lifetime!
