Welcome to Red Alert Diving, a PADI 5 Star Dive Center. We are passionate about everything scuba diving. We believe that diving is not just a sport or a hobby, but a way of life. Our team of experienced divers is dedicated to providing everyone with the best diving experience possible, whether you're a beginner, an experienced diver, or a professional looking to broaden your offerings.Red Alert Diving is bringing the sport of Scuba Diving to persons with limited abilities! To further this goal, we are thrilled to partner with Crusty Crab Diving, a Florida based 501c3, to offer training for divers with disabilities and their friends and families.
Our mission is simple - to share our love for the underwater world and inspire others to explore it. We offer a range of diving courses and excursions to suit all levels, from introductory courses for beginners to advanced training for experienced divers.
We are now conducting adaptive scuba training. Adaptive training is a method of coaching persons with disabilities to participate in scuba as independently as their abilities will allow.
At Red Alert Diving, safety is our top priority. All our instructors are certified and experienced, ensuring that you receive the best training and guidance. We use only the best equipment and follow strict safety protocols to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable diving experience. Students are trained using the same programs, information and standards as able-bodied divers with the focus on adapting the skills to their abilities. These adaptations are made throughout training, and many divers will earn the same certification as their able-bodied counterparts. In other cases, students are taught with specially trained buddies who are required to dive with them to safely explore the underwater world.
Working with a team of trained diving professionals, you will build a plan to best meet the training requirements for a PADI open water certification. We will help you adapt your abilities and skills to the underwater environment.
These courses are scheduled on the third weekend of every month.
Adapted Diving Classes:
This program is open to any person medically qualified to dive. As long as you meet the medical criteria for diving, you can try adaptive scuba. People with amputations, spinal cord injuries, hearing loss and vision impairment are welcome to join us for dive training. As long as you can hold a regulator in your mouth, we want to share the underwater world with you.
Adaptive Support Diver Specialty:
This specialty course is designed for to equip divers with helpful techniques for buddying with divers with disabilities. While this course will interest anyone who dives with a diver with disabilities, many of the techniques practiced will apply to any diver.
Requirements:
PADI Open Water Certification
EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months
15 Years of age or older
Adaptive Techniques Specialty:
The Adaptive Techniques Specialty Course provides PADI Professionals with practical techniques and approaches proven to be effective when teaching and assisting divers with physical or mental challenges. This requires taking the time to explore abilities with student divers and to discover together how each diver can comfortably enjoy scuba diving using adaptive techniques.
Requirements:
PADI Divemaster
EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months
18 Years of age or older
