Special Olympics Maine is offering Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing training for coaches.  This will be a fun opportunity to work towards sport certifications in Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing!

1/17/2025 @ Quarry Road Trails – Friday January 17th, 2025 from 9am-2pm.

 
Snowshoe will go from 9-11:30 am.
Cross Country Ski will follow from 12-2 pm.
 
Coaches that attend will go through our sport certification course and athletes will have the opportunity to be on-snow (knock on wood…) developing their skills.  All participants should be prepared to be active during on-snow sessions.

Each sport will have on-snow active sessions that will last 1-2 hours long. All participants should come prepared to be outside (in cold elements) with proper winter apparel (ski pants, jacket, hat, gloves, eye protection etc).
It is recommended to bring your own snowshoe and/or cross country ski equipment, however, additional equipment or rental equipment will be available for those that do not have their own at their own cost.
