Description
Our new adaptive track and field programming includes opportunities for athletes to try: (sports offered may vary session to session depending on coach availability)
Ambulatory track
Wheelchair track
Seated Throws (Shotput, Javelin)
Ambulatory Throws (Shotput, Javelin)
Long Jump
Our coaches include collegiate level adaptive and able-bodied athletes, para-certified coaches, and former/current guides for visually impaired athletes.
(Please note: If you have a visual impairment, please let us know- we may be able coordinate guides depending on volunteer turnout. If you have a friend interested in learning to guide, our coaches may be able to assist at the beginning of practice.)
Volunteers will support with instruction, load-in and out of gear, athlete transfers, and other duties as necessary.
