Description
The Amputee Coalition invites you to celebrate Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month with us from April 1-30, 2024. More than 5.6 million Americans are living with limb loss and limb difference, based on a recently published study: 5.6 Million++ Americans are Living with Limb Loss and Limb Difference: New Study Published – Amputee Coalition (amputee-coalition.org). Limb loss and limb difference affects people of all backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, genders, races, ages, and other demographics. During April, we want to demonstrate how our community thrives and how you can participate.
The limb loss and limb different community includes people from many backgrounds, careers, goals, and intersecting communities. The month is dedicated to sharing and telling the stories of those vast people- you. The Amputee Coalition is the leading national non-profit representing the limb loss and limb different community in Washington, DC and across the country, as the independent, unbiased voice of the community.
Amputee Coalition is dedicated to advocate for, support, and educate people who have limb loss and/or limb difference and LLLDAM is the perfect opportunity for you to get more involved: celebrate the wins, encourage through challenges, and accompany along the journeys of the community.
