Join Achilles athletes, volunteer guides and Team Achilles charity runners at the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. In 1976, our founder Dick Traum became the first amputee to complete the New York City Marathon. Now, Achilles is known worldwide for bringing the largest field of athletes with disabilities to the TCS NYC Marathon each November. Learn more about Achilles participation in marathon weekend. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31 TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (11th Avenue at West 36th Street).

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1 Achilles Pre-Marathon Celebration, Hard Rock Cafe Times Square Invite only for athletes, guides and charity runners. Details will be emailed to eligible participants. TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (11th Avenue at West 36th Street).

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2 Achilles NYC Chapter Shakeout run in Central Park, 9:30 AM Handcycle equipment loading. TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (11th Avenue at West 36th Street).

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3 Race day! Yell “Go Achilles! “ at our cheer station at Engineer’s Gate, Fifth Avenue/East 90th Street.
