Come meet McClain and hear her story at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum on September 7 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. McClain Hermes, a Paralympian and World Champion in swimming and ParaTriathlon, has transformed her legal blindness into a remarkable athletic career. She holds over 20 American records and numerous international medals. At 15, she was the youngest member of the 2016 USA Paralympic Team in Rio and became a World Champion in 2017, earning gold in the 400m freestyle. McClain also competed in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, and in 2023, she won a bronze medal at the World Championships and placed 8th in triathlon. Currently pursuing a PhD at Clemson University, she resides at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs with her guide dog, Uzo, and aims to compete in both sports at the Paralympics. All athlete meet and greets and other offerings are included with the purchase of a general admission ticket to the museum.
