Events offered: Adult Unified Team Bocce. Teams are to consist of four participants including two Special Olympics Athletes and two Unified Partners.
 
The 2026 PPH Area Unified Team Bocce Event will be held in person at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine.
The Bocce event will be a bracket style single elimination tournament. Qualifying scores are not required for registration. It is recommended that you register some athletes & Unified Partners as Alternates for your team. If adult age teams are in need of Unified Partners from MMA, you can indicate this in the registration process. Delegations may use up to 2 MMA partners each. Games will have a time limit of 20 minutes. Place ribbons and participation ribbons will be awarded.
 
To Register Your Delegation:
Step 1: Complete the Intent to Participate & HOD Information Form here.
Step 2: View Team Registration Excel using this link
Step 3: Download a copy of the Registration Excel to your computer by selecting File, then Save As, and Save As your Delegation Name-PPH Unified Bocce for the file name
Step 4: Complete a row for each Delegation member (HOD, Coach, Assistant Coaches, Athletes & Unified Partners). Complete all necessary YELLOW HIGHLIGHTED columns only.
Step 5: Save your completed registration copy
Step 6: Email final Delegation registration to [email protected] by 3/16 (Please put your Delegation Name-PPH Unified Bocce Registration in the email subject line- thank you!)
Required Paperwork Reminder:
Complete ALL required forms below for Athletes, Coaches, Volunteers & Unified Partners prior to the event if you have not already done so previously. Athlete Forms are good for 1 year, with just a renewal signature if there are no changes.
1) SOMaine Athlete Forms or complete online at Athlete Resources Please note: A renewal signature is required each year. Printable Renewal Form or complete renewal online at Athlete Resources. If there are changes to the information please complete a new Athlete Form packet.
2) SOMaine Coach & Unified Partner Forms (Volunteer A & Communicable Disease Waiver) or view online at Volunteer Resources. Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Unified Partners over 18 please also visit the above link to complete the online background check and protective behaviors.
3) Head Coach Sport Certification Each team needs at least 1 sport certified Head Coach
4) The required paperwork can be completed online (preferred) or in paper form and emailed to [email protected] at the Special Olympics State Office. Please keep a copy for your records!  If families are completing paperwork online, please have them forward the confirmation email to the HOD/Head Coach for your records.

Training: There is an outdoor Bocce court located behind the VFW in Hampden for training when the weather allows. Some teams have also rented indoor time on the turf at Milligan’s Landing in Old Town.
Tips for using the excel spreadsheet:

Editing of the original link has been blocked, you must download a copy and enable editing of the copy.

The information you enter on the spreadsheet will be imported into our Games Management System (vs being manually entered as done previously). It is VERY important to include complete and accurate spellings of names and accurate DOB for all participants (including coaches) so that GMS does not create a different individual profile.

Incomplete forms with missing DOBs, Events, Team Names, etc. will not be accepted. Qualifying scores not required.

Please use the dropdown selections for gender and events.

Complete one line for each participant.

Be consistent with your delegation name (so GMS does not create separate delegations for you)

Do not modify the format of this spreadsheet.
