Description

Special Olympics Maine is thrilled to be hosting the 2026 Winter Games on February 25th – 26th!
Special Olympics Maine is excited to share we will be covering the cost of hotel accommodations for interested delegations who are traveling 1 or more hours to competition. If you are interested make sure to fill out the overnight accommodations section of the intent to participate! 
We’re excited for the event, and hope you are too! Stay tuned for more info as we get closer to the Winter Games.

Carrabassett Valley Academy Athlete Training Day!
Monday, February 2nd- Sugarloaf Mountain
Registration Deadline: January 9th
We’re excited to again partner with Carrabassett Valley Academy for a special training day! This open training session is for Special Olympics Maine Athletes who compete in Alpine Skiing and Snowshoeing at Winter Games. Athletes will be paired with CVA Alpine students who will guide them through level-specific courses, while CVA students and instructors provide coaching and skill development to support future training and competition.
Lift Tickets will be provided to all Athletes and Coaches!

Event Details:

9:00am – 9:30am check-in
9:30am -11:45am – On-snow training
11:45am-12:30pm – Lunch Break (provide your own)
12:30-1:00pm – Opening Ceremonies
1:00-2:30pm – On-snow training continued
2:30-3:00pm – Wrap-up
