Description
During the visit, we will tour the Castro Adobe and learn about its adobe construction and the uses of its various rooms. Students will get to make their very own adobe mud brick, weather permitting, or create a leather book mark. Your students will learn how to read a compass while touring the Rancho grounds to understand how a diseno (picture map) was made. They will be exposed to fandango dancing while learning about Spanish music. Before the visit is finished, they will have an opportunity to press a tortilla and enjoy a freshly made tortilla with melted butter. .
