["The Tour de Stowe is a non-competitive tour to challenge your endurance. The course features skiing through the von Trapp Family Lodge trails and Stowe Mountain Resort Ranch Valley system (with some trails that are off the beaten path). Fuel up with cider and a refreshment stop at the cabin. BKL/Kids and school team entries can enjoy a supported ski with special treats, and return to the warmth of the Yurt. Participants are invited to a post-ski gathering in the von Trapp Bierhall with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be a cash bar offering the award-wining Trapp lager. Stay for the raffle too! \nThe hills truly are alive! The Tour de Stowe is a non-competitive classic technique ski tour taking place on the gorgeous trails of von Trapp Family Lodge and Stowe Mtn Resort cross-country centers. This event is intended to be a fun challenge for all ages. The courses will start and end at the von Trapp Outdoor Center. The 22km course will be a loop and there will be a 14 km cutoff for those who prefer the shorter distance. There will be a time cut-off time of noon at the cabin to continue on the longer loop. The 5 km short course is for K-6 th graders with treats at the finish. \nPost Event Celebration at Trapp Bierhall from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. \n22km/14km Course Info:\nOpen to all ages able to complete the hilly course. Check-in will be at the yurt beside the\nvon Trapp Outdoor Center from 9:00 – 9:45am with a start time of 10:00am. Includes post-event\nparty at the von Trapp Bierhall. Choose the distance that you can complete by 2PM. \nHigh School and Middle School Team Members Category 14K Course:\nReduced entry fee for school team members to do the 14km course only. Registration 9:00 to\n9:45am at the von Trapp Lodge Outdoor Center yurt. Start time is 10:00am. \n5km BKL Course Info:\nA fun course intended for kids in the K-6 th grade novice age group. New this year is a memory\ncourse for kids – as they ski the 5km they’ll have to remember all of the crazy things they find\nhidden along the trail! Check in at the yurt beside von Trapp Outdoor Center from 10-10:45am with\nstart at 11am. Parents are welcome to ski with kids at their discretion. Treats will be provided\nat the finish.
