In this workshop, you will gain firsthand knowledge on overcoming challenges, embracing diversity, and creating events that resonate with and empower folks from marginalized backgrounds, especially trans, nonbinary, BIPOC, and disabled cyclists.

Presenters

Beckie Irvin (she/her) is a nonprofit consultant and the co-founder of Grit MTB Festival. She has extensive experience with creating inclusive communities for people in cycling. Beckie's work earned her inclusion in the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal's 2022 Fast 15 Class. She was also named one of the Top 100 Women of Impact in Arkansas by the Women's Foundation of Arkansas in 2023.

Rachel Olzer (she/they) is the executive director of All Bikes Welcome and Grit MTB Festival. They have 10+ years of experience with equity and inclusion in cycling and the outdoors. Rachel’s work to create inclusive community in Northwest Arkansas was recognized by Bicycling magazine as one of nine Riders of the Year in 2023.
