DESCRIPTION:When: Wednesday\, December 2\, 2026 from 7:30-8:30pm\nWhere:
Zoom\nTitle: Acceptance is the Hidden Superpower: the coach’s role in he
lping athletes navigate life transitions with ease\nSpeaker: Carly Wynn\
, Carly Outside (The Box)\nCost: Free for NENSA members (purchase or ren
 ew membership here)\nRegistration: Register HERE \nDescription: Carly’s
presentation will focus on the tension that can exist between the drive
for adaptation and the need for acceptance as athletes move through chal
lenging circumstances that are outside of their control\, illustrated by
personal stories from myself and my athletes. The thesis is that athlet
es benefit from coaching that helps them balance the focus on continual
adaptation and improvement with the ability to accept that we’re not in
complete control of that\, thus avoiding the pitfalls that can come when
we refuse to accept challenging circumstances. \nSpeaker Bio: Carly Wyn
n of Carly Outside (The Box) is an independent-minded\, adventure-seekin
 g athlete\, coach\, and an OG-digital nomad. Following her years of D1 N
CAA racing for Dartmouth College\, she started Carly Outside in 2015 wit
h the goal of helping other runners and skiers thrive and sharing her ad
ventures while she traveled and ski raced as a domestic pro. She retired
from professional racing in 2018\, shifted her full time focus to coach
ing: Outside Endurance. \nIn her coaching\, she strive to emphasize the
simple and powerful foundations of training that so often get overlooked
. The goal of training is to adapt. Bodies require stress and recovery i
n order to get stronger. If we know how to listen\, our bodies will tell
us how to fine tune that stress (training\,) and the necessary recovery
. \n\nThis offering is part of our virtual educational series which expa
nds opportunities for learning beyond our in-person conferences\, sympos
 iums\, and clinics.\n\nImported from: https://adapt2play.org/events/2990
