DESCRIPTION:Join us at Thomas College in Waterville on Saturday\, August 
 8\, for Special Olympics Maine’s Coaches College! \nThis one-day event g
 ives prospective and current coaches the opportunity to become certified
  as a Level 1 Head Coach\, learn more about Special Olympics Maine\, and
  connect with fellow coaches\, clinicians\, and staff from across the st
 ate. Coach trainings will be offered in Athletics\, Basketball\, Bocce\,
  Golf\, Soccer\, Swimming\, and Tennis. \nPlease note that overnight acc
 ommodations will not be available this year since all sessions will take
  place on Saturday\, but we hope to bring that option back in the future

  our Coach Resources page to make sure you’ve completed all of the requi
 rements to become a Level 1 Head Coach. \nEach delegation is required to
  have at least one certified Head Coach for every sport in which they co
 mpete. To become a Level 1 Head Coach\, coaches must complete a Class A 
 Volunteer Form\, pass a background check\, complete Protective Behaviors
  and Concussion Awareness training\, and attend an in-person sport-speci
